Wartercolor – Kluang

A painting of my hometown- Kluang (Malaysia).
Again, started with a smaller sketch on the top and the final at the bottom about A2 size.
Never noticed that my hometown has some interesting spot for a painting too.
Guess its more in seeing a nice scene in the real world than that scene existing itself. That’s something that I got to train to get better. Appreciating what is around me more.

Some watercolor doodles in class when i am not successful in painting the scenery in front of my eyes.
Turns out that some of the sketches and doodles are better.

VOTE

VOTE

An illustration inspired by the hot topic happening in my country.
It used to be a very sensitive issue about voting in my country. but with the rising of social media, now everyone is debating about it openly. Though i think its good to have intellectual debate, the social medias are not doing a good job filtering out all the false information. Knowing which and what to believe is getting harder nowadays, but more important nevertheless.

So, knowing which information to trust will decide your decision and your “vote”. Not only in politics but also in life as a whole.

Hope you like it.
As usual, comments and suggestions are welcome.

Photo Study 25 – Awesome lighting

Photo Study 25 - Awesome lighting

Love the lighting in this. wanted to learn how the skin color changes with different light source.
Skin tone is really hard to paint. So its better to just get the value right, as it is actually quite reflective and gain different color depending on the background. high saturation on highlights and lower at the shadow.

War Ship

War Ship

An attempt to paint a ship battle scene. Tried different colors for a more painterly effect.
But yea, got to find more references for ships and do some waves study. Need to learn how to construct a ship too.
There are just so many details on a ship that i find it real hard to paint.

Hope you like this. Any comment and suggestions are welcome.
